Discussing the Lilly Sanchez fight

What follows is the rest of the discussion between Alesia and Regina prior to the announcement of the fight against Lilly Sanchez.

Alesia: “It’s clear that she’s the most interesting opponent, but also the most dangerous one. Not all her fights are documented, especially in the Sanchez Gym. I just wonder if I’m ready for her after that TKO loss.”

Regina: “You are not ready today, but I can make you progress in a couple of months. Not enough for the full transformation I have in store for you, but definitely enough to make this fight a good one. If you dive into preparations the way I am expecting you to, you’ll give her one hell of a challenge and gain great experience in a short time.”

Alesia: “I’m ready to put in the work. You really believe that we can close the gap?”

Regina: “Yes, but let’s also be honest with ourselves. Beating Lilly will be an extremely difficult task. Our approach going into this should be growth as a boxer. Win, lose or draw, we want to increase your level and do well. Our training camp will be the most difficult thing you ever did. It’s a big curve to take, but we’ll do it together. Then, we’ll do even more transformational work ahead of the next fight, and frame your career the right way.”

Alesia: “So, let’s do it.”

Regina: “This will be a huge matchup. Let’s schedule it for June.”

[Remember that the fight with Steph took place in April and that this discussion also is backdated to April.]

Alesia: “Amazing!”

Regina: “Perfect! We’ll start training at 8:00 on the day that follows the press conference.”
