Announcer:
“Please welcome to the ring, ‘The Canadian Cobra,’ Virani Kohli!”

Commentator: “An unintentional slip from the PA announcer or another jab at the away fighter?  It is tough to tell.  Virani MacVicar makes her way to the ring with a purposeful stride and some rather pointed music.  Gone are the bright outfits of her past fights.  MacVicar is back in black…and has she cut her hair?”

Virani: I hear the announcer.  It doesn’t bother me.  It’s just a name.  And I’m so close to getting my hands on Prisha.  Just a few more minutes.

Thomas: Virani is really focused for this one.  I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her like this.  I just want to make sure she doesn’t get tightly-wound.  I think her anger will motivate her, but its also a distraction.

Announcer:
“Please welcome to the ring, the undefeated OBPF Featherweight champion, ‘Pretty’ Prisha Priyanka!”

Commentator: “Prisha’s coach, Rachit Kapoor, holds the OBPF Featherweight title high as his charge makes her way to the ring.  Priyanka is in her element, striking poses and talking with the fans at ringside.  If confidence wins fights, Prisha Priyanka will win by knockout.”

Ring Announcer: “Ladies and Gentleman, this is the Main Event of the Evening!  8 Rounds of action in the Featherweight Division.  Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, she comes to us with a record of 4 wins and 3 losses, with 3 of those wins coming by way of knockout!  She weighed in at 125 and 1/2 poundsPresenting, from Toronto, Canada, ‘The Canadian Cobra’ Virani MacVicar!”

Commentator: “Some boos and some clapping for the Canadian from the crowd.  If you’ve never seen MacVicar fight before, she is a solid puncher with knockout power, especially with her left hook.  She’s lost 2 in a row coming into this though, showing something of a fragile chin.  Virani has talked about how she has evolved from her last loss, but she will be up against a dangerous opponent.  She does look a bit murderous with the new haircut and all black attire though!”

Virani: I’m not really paying attention to the introduction.  I know I’m not going to get cheered here.  I keep my focus on Prisha, who is across the ring and playacting for the crowd.  Keep playing, bitch.  The fight is almost here.  Oh, and the haircut?  Prisha said I was fake.  Maybe she was right about the hair.  It’s a drastic change, but it feels good.  I feel lighter.  I feel like a samurai that cuts off their ponytail before battle.  Come on now Prisha.  In a few minutes they’ll be no one to save you.

Thomas: I can’t tell if Virani is extremely focused, or trying to shoot lasers out of her eyes to kill Prisha Priyanka.  Perhaps both.  I give her a little touch on the shoulder, just a bit of a hint to calm down.  I don’t know if it works.

Ring Announcer: “And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner.  She comes to us from Shimla, India.  She weighed in at a perfect 126 pounds.  Her record, is a perfect one, 7 wins, 0 losses, and 3 victories coming by way of knockout.  Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, the reigning OPBF Featherweight Champion, ‘Pretty’ Prisha Priyanka!”

Commentator: “As expected, the crowd go wild for the home fighter.  Priyanka is a sensation in India, and her popularity inside the ring almost certainly comes from her antics outside of the ring.  Still, Priyanka is the betting favourite in this one, and for good reason. She is undefeated and she has never been knocked down in her professional career.  There have been rumours that if Priyanka wins this next fight, she will then face off against Kayleigh Parsons for the Commenwealth Title.  But she cannot ignore MacVicar, who can send the crowd home unhappy with one punch.”

Commentator: “The referee for this bout is Kanti Agrawal.  Kanti is a well respected referee who does seem to have a bit of a lenient streak to her.  Of note, Kanti has been the referee for each of Virani’s knockout losses.  One has to wonder if that will play on Virani’s mind.  Kanti calls the fighters to the middle of the ring.”

Kanti: “Ladies.  I went over the unified rules with you in the dressing room. This is a non-title fight.  This fight is scheduled for 8 two-minute rounds. There is no three-knockdown rule. There is no standing eight-count. You cannot be saved by the bell in any round. If you knock your opponent down, you have to go to a neutral corner before I start a count. If you foul intentionally, I will deduct a point.  Protect yourself at all times. Obey my command at all times. I want a good, clean fight. If you want to touch gloves, do so now.”

Prisha: “I’m going to knock you out, Kohli.”

Virani: “That’s not my name”

Neither fighter makes an offer to touch gloves.

Commentator: “Well, that’s a rarity these days.  But with the bad blood between the fighters obvious, I feel like these fighters only view their gloves as tools to smash their opponent’s face!  Priyanka seems confident and MacVicar seems focused.  I hope you have some popcorn with you, because I think we are in for a treat.  The opening bell rings….next!”
