Golden sisters

FAMILY ACHIEVEMENTS

Boxing history has been made. Alesia and Sophie Schumann are the first sisters to be champions of the world at the same time in their divisions.

Final Bell Boxing had historians from BOX! Magazine confirm that two world titles held by women in the same family is unprecedented in the sport.

A limited edition poster is now available for purchase by fans.

Sophie earned her Lightweight title by stopping Zohana Patel last year in Egypt. Alesia became two-time champion in April with a decision win over Chelsea Carter.

Sporting talent sometimes runs in the family and the Schumann sisters are literally the poster girls for it. Their achievements go beyond belts. Women’s boxing is now a worldwide attraction with a strong contribution from these two.

I knew that joining forces with Alesia meant working with world-class potential. What I didn’t know, on that first day, was that Sophie was waiting around the corner with the same ability. Coaching these two is a great job.
Regina Halmich

The two sisters got congratulated and teased on social media.
